About An Neidín Family Practice

An Neidín Family Practice was established in 2018 by Dr Hilda Crushell, Dr Maria Quille and Dr Anton Wauters. We work closely as a team of doctors, nurses and administrative staff to serve the greater Kenmare area. We are located in the Medical Centre above SuperValu and our surgery is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available outside the surgery.

Our team is highly trained in many areas and we are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. We will provide you with up-to-date, evidence-based medical advice to make informed choices when it comes to managing your health. We are dedicated to providing an inclusive, non- judgmental and welcoming service to all patients.

We offer a range of medical services to medical card and private patients, including antenatal and postnatal care, men and women’s health, minor surgery, vaccinations, child and teen health and regular check-ups. We provide clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma and COPD.

An Neidín Family Practice is an accredited training practice through the Irish College of General Practitioners, and we are committed to a high standard of medical learning and education. For many years our practice has been involved in the education of medical students, and students may visit the practice to observe consultations as part of their curriculum. We always advise patients in advance if a student is present and will only invite a student to observe your consultation with your permission.

The practice is also a training practice for specialist trainees in General Practice from the Irish College of General Practitioners training scheme. These trainees are qualified doctors and are undertaking further experience and training in General Practice. They remain in the practice for periods of 6 months to 1 year.
