Dr Anton Wauters

Dr. Anton Wauters obtained his medical degree from the University of Leuven in Belgium and qualified as a General Practitioner in 2007. Interested in broadening his horizons in the field of rural medicine, he moved to Ireland to work as a GP in Donegal, and then in Kerry. Anton’s plan was to stay in Ireland for one year before moving to the UK to study osteopathy; however he quickly felt at home in Ireland and never left.

While working as a sessional GP in Dingle for over seven years, Anton developed his interest in integrative medicine, complementary therapies and musculo-skeletal medicine. He pursued part-time studies at the London School of Osteopathy, leading to a Master degree in Osteopathic Medicine in 2014.

Anton moved to Kenmare in October 2017, and the following year joined Dr. Hilda Crushell and Dr. Maria Quille in forming An Neídin Family Practice. Anton loves to spend time with his family, preferably in nature. In Kenmare, he has found an environment that offers this fine balance.
